Let’s work together.

I love working with clients who are embarking on a journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance.

I’m particularly passionate about supporting those who are in the early stages of understanding or redefining their LGBTQ+ identities, those who want to understand the present impact of past trauma, and/or those wishing to manage perfectionism.*

*Do I have to be LGBTQ+ to work together? Absolutely not! Affirming therapy means I’m affirming all identities, including those outside of the LGBTQ+ community :)

Areas of Specialization

  • As a queer therapist, I’m passionate about providing a safe, welcoming space for all, but especially my community. I was trained at the Institute for Human Identity in LGBTQ+ affirming therapy and have worked with clients across an array of identities. I have a particular interest in working with LGBTQ+ couples as they navigate their relationship.

  • Whether you’re coming to couples or individual therapy, it is important to recognize our relationships' impact on our lives. Romantic, platonic, and familial connections help us feel like we’re not alone in the world. If those connections are not functioning, they can be a source of distress. I’m here to lend an empathetic ear and help you understand out what you want from the relationship and how you can achieve it.

  • I work with a lot of high-performing individuals in corporate and creative careers on issues like imposter syndrome, finding confidence in their work, discovering their passion, and creative blocks.

  • I have experience working with folks who feel stuck due to anxiety and obsessive ruminations. In therapy, we can work to understand where your anxiety is originating from and work on tools to have more power over anxiety and obsessive thoughts. For those experiencing more severe obsessions and compulsions, I may recommend working with a therapist trained in ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention).

  • As a trauma-informed therapist, I have the experience and training to traverse conversations relating to trauma. I have a particular interest in working with folks who are managing trauma from their families of origin or generational trauma.

  • I spent three years working with the Trevor Project and developed a passion for working with teens who are developing their sense of self. If you’re looking for a non-judgmental safe space to do this work, I’d love to collaborate!

Navigating A Divided Family

Navigating A Divided Family is a new 8-week psychotherapy group for LGBTQ+ adults looking for additional post-election support. This is your space to process, grieve, and connect in a time when our identities feel threatened. Held in person at Intuitive Healing Psychotherapy, the group will navigate relationships with family or friends who may not accept our identities (or who vote otherwise).

*This group is now full and ongoing. Reach out to be on a waiting list for an upcoming group.
